This Cookie Policy explains how Askida, operated by IN2050 Ltd ("we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our Platform at askida.foundation and related domains.
We are committed to transparency about the technologies we use. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They can be "first-party" (set by the website you are visiting) or "third-party" (set by another domain). They can also be "session" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" (remaining for a set period).
3. Cookies We Use
Askida uses a minimal number of cookies. We do not use advertising, tracking, or third-party marketing cookies.

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They enable core features such as authentication and security. Because they are strictly necessary, they are exempt from consent requirements under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC).
3.2 Functional Cookies
The locale preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) remembers your language selection. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, functional cookies necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user are exempt from the consent requirement.
3.3 What We Do Not Use
Askida does not use:
- Advertising cookies
- Tracking or analytics cookies from third parties
- Social media sharing cookies
- Retargeting or remarketing cookies
- Any cookies that profile behaviour across websites
4. Third-Party Cookies
Askida does not set third-party cookies. Our infrastructure providers may set cookies necessary for their services:
- Supabase: Authentication session cookies (sb-*-auth-token). First-party, strictly necessary.
- Vercel: May set technical cookies for load balancing and performance. Do not track user behaviour.
5. Service Workers and Local Caching
5.1 What the Service Worker Does
- Caches static assets for faster loading
- Provides a basic offline fallback page
- Does not access, store, or transmit personal data
- Does not track behaviour
5.2 How to Remove the Service Worker
You can unregister the service worker through your browser's developer tools or site settings:
- Chrome:Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → askida.foundation → Clear data
- Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → askida.foundation → Remove
- Safari:Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → askida.foundation → Remove
6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. If you disable strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to log in.

7. Legal Basis
All cookies used by Askida are either strictly necessary or functional and fall within the exemptions of Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. We do not currently display a cookie consent banner. Should we introduce non-essential cookies, we will implement a consent mechanism before deploying them.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
If we introduce new categories of cookies, we will update this policy and implement an appropriate consent mechanism.
9. Language
This Cookie Policy is drafted in English. The English version prevails over any translation.
